The adoption of a cloud computing approach is necessary for the efficient delivery of C3 Capabilities and the consumption of ICT Services. This approach delivers infrastructure, platforms and software using service models and will support the Service Management Policy and the Enterprise Approach’s ambitions.
The Cloud Computing Policy introduces a new business model that treats infrastructure as a shared commodity that is accessed as a service. It sets the principles for providing, maintaining and using a shared, service-oriented computing infrastructure (cloud) to achieve greater availability, flexibility, agility, security and mobility while seeking to reduce costs.
This policy outlines the principles for service providers, customers and users of the NATO Enterprise to apply a cloud computing approach.
