Federating national and NATO networks increases survivability and resiliency and achieves savings and efficiencies. The federation of national and NATO networks will also help to develop mutual trust, enhance interoperability and improve the standardisation process, especially where it concerns standardised information exchange and sharing.
The aim of the Federation of Communication Services Policy is to establish the principles for federating networks among NATO and national service providers to support NATO processes, tasks or missions. This policy addresses the establishment of federated networks by NATO Bodies and Nations.
