This policy establishes mandatory principles in terms of provision, use, and control, of services provided within NATO through an approach based on the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). The policy is intended as a tool to enable stakeholders to coordinate, deliver and use an efficient and effective set of services matching the needs of the NATO Enterprise while exercising financial responsibility.
This policy encompasses the management and support of all ICT services delivered within the NATO Enterprise, regardless of their source or funding. This includes, among others, NATO-owned, NATO-leased, nationally and commercially provided ICT services.
